Donald Trump ridicules Taylor Swift following Super Bowl boos

The Super Bowl is done, and this year the Kansas City Chiefs got a taste of the medicine they dealt out in 2024 after falling 40-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles. And like every Super Bowl day, there were plenty of items besides the game itself that went viral.

Though Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance generated a lot of a response, it was probably the juxtaposition of Donald Trump and Taylor Swift that grabbed attention.

Swift was there to assist her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who Regrettably, was unable to help the Chiefs retain their title. Donald Trump made history Sunday as the first sitting president to visit the Super Bowl; cameras around the stadium made sure not to overlook it.

When the cameras focused on Taylor Swift, many in the audience began to boo her. We even saw Swift herself responding to all the abuse, while Donald Trump wasted no time showing his claws. Given their turbulent past, it is hardly surprising that he chose to parody the famous musician on social media.

Walking into the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Sunday to see the Kansas City Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles, Donald Trump became the first sitting president ever to visit the Super Bowl. The Eagles went on to take the title, winning 40-22, but the buzz in town following the game focused more on events off the field.

Early in the weekend, President Trump had declared he would be attending the Super Bowl. He also foresaw the result of the game in an interview with Fox—that the Kansas City Chiefs would prevail.

Praising the Chiefs’ quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, and his wife, Brittany, Trump remarked, “I have to go with Kansas City.”I have seen this outstanding quarterback with a remarkable wife. I happen to love her as she is a MAGA fan and a Trump enthusiast. Still, she is a really, really kind person.

Although Trump chose not to concentrate on the game, rather on the new NFL kickoff rule, Mahomes and his wife had not had the best night of their life (Kansas lost).

He wrote that the Super Bowl’s worst part was watching the kickoff, when the field is frozen and stiff and the ball is flying through the air. College football cannot do this. Who destroyed the game?

Inside the Feud: Donald Trump & Taylor Swift’s Complicated Dynamic

After arriving at Caesar’s Superdome, the 47th President of the United States made his way down to the field, greeting and photographing men and women from the police force. Trump’s attendance at the famous sporting event made a lot of noise, but not everyone felt he made the best impression.

But Trump seemed “weary and tense,” said body language guru Judi James. James argued, according to the Irish Star, he could have been concerned about his safety since it was a major event; analogies to the 2024 march, when he was shot, help explain this.

Here, Trump looked rather worn out and tense from his gestures and facial expressions. James said, “His wave to the crowd seemed perfunctory, and his lower jaw had a tense-looking rigidity.”

She added, “As his mouth opened, the tension looked even more obvious, with a horizontal stretching of the jaw added to a slumping of the shoulders.”

Furthermore, the body language specialist said that Trump treated the supporters he encountered as if they were political officials diplomats.

She said, “His somber dark suit was brightened by a red tie, but his walk as he entered the stadium was slow and stately, and he greeted his hosts and fans as though they were diplomats, shaking hands seriously and distinctly lacking showboating or playing to the crowd.

Super Bowl LIX features appearances by Donald Trump and Taylor Swift

Just last week, after Time Magazine placed Elon Musk on their cover, pretending to be seated in Trump’s Oval Office, Trump reacted sharply to the publication, claiming he was unaware of their existence as an operational magazine.

And the 2023 TIME Person of the Year was present even as the 2024 TIME Person of the Year was in attendance. Supporting her boyfriend, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, Taylor Swift was at the Caesars Superdome. Since the couple started dating, she has routinely attended his games, generating even more attention around the team.

Still, Trump’s and Swift’s connection is quite different. Their relationship is somewhat turbulent, dating back many years. Swift avoided political commentary at the start of her career, but in 2018 she chose to support a Democratic candidate running for Tennessee’s US Senate seat.

The Anti Hero star was already among the main stars in the music business and entertainment business all around at the time. She went to Instagram supporting Jim Cooper for the House of Representatives and Phil Bredesen for the Senate.

“Although I have been hesitant to express my political views in public in the past, during the past two years various occurrences in my life and the world have changed my viewpoint about it today. Based on which candidate will defend and fight for the human rights I feel everyone in this nation deserves, I always have and always will vote. I see the fight for LGBTQ rights as evidence of WRONG in any kind of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender. Swift tweeted in 2018: “I believe that the systematic racism we still see in this country toward people of color is terrifying, sickening, and prevalent.”

Taylor Swift Faces Trump’s Wrath for 2018 Senate Pick

“I can’t vote for someone who won’t fight for dignity for ALL Americans, regardless of race, gender, or love.” Running for Senate in Tennessee is Marsha Blackburn, a woman. I cannot support Marsha Blackburn, even if I have in the past and would like to. Continue supporting women in politics. Her Congress voting record frightens and depresses me. She opposed women getting equal pay. She opposed the reauthorization of the Violence against Women Act, which seeks to guard women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape.”

The celebrity carried on: “She thinks companies have a right to turn away service to gay couples. She also believes that gay couples have no right to get married. These values are not unique to Tennessee, nor are they mine. For the Senate, I will be voting for Phil Bredesen; for the House of Representatives, Jim Cooper. Please educate yourself on the contenders vying for your state and base your vote on who most fairly reflects your ideals. Many of us may never find a candidate or party with whom we agree exactly on every topic, but we have to vote nonetheless.

Donald Trump blushed when Swift decided to voice her opinion. Swift expressed her opinions about who she would vote for—a Democrat. A few days later, Trump faced questions about Swift’s endorsement at the White House.

“I’m sure Taylor Swift has no knowledge of [Blackburn],” Trump said. “I enjoy Taylor’s songs about 25% less now, OK?”

Swift Claims Trump Views the U.S. as an Autocracy

This was not the only instance in which public airing of Swift’s and Trump’s conflict would occur. In a 2019 interview with The Guardian, the celebrity asserted that Trump believed they were not living in a democracy, accusing the US environment of “gaslighting the American public into being like, ‘If you hate the president, you hate America.'”

“We are a democracy, at least meant to be, where you are free to disagree, criticize, and argue. I honestly believe he sees this as an autocrat.

The dispute between Trump and Taylor Swift continued, with the singer lashing out at many of the president’s decisions during his first presidential term. Later on, Trump chose to run for president a second time in 2023, and he accepted the song Justice for All, recorded by a group of dissidents who had been imprisoned over their claimed roles on January 6.

Several Trump rallies featured performances of the song in 2023, and it quickly shot to the top of iTunes. Donald Trump mentioned the song and Taylor Swift later that same year during a Houston rally.

“It beat Taylor Swift; it beat Miley Cyrus, who was number one and two,” Trump declared. We knocked them down for a long period; they were number one and two.

“There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe. Biden.”

Swift’s endorsement of Joe Biden for the 2024 presidential election was not surprising; even though she never said it out publicly, the image was rather plain. Still, Trump opted to target Swift, attributing credit for the 2018 Music Modernization Act. He also stated that the great singer would not support Biden’s re-election campaign.

For Taylor Swift and all other musical artists, I signed and oversaw the Music Modernization Act. At the time, Trump noted on Truth Social that Joe Biden had never promised to do anything for Taylor Swift.

“She could not support Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most dishonest president in our country’s history, and become a traitor to the man who brought her so much wealth.”

Given the close relationship between Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, and Patrick Mahomes, Swift’s friendship with Mahomes is not surprising. Brittany Mahomes is the wife of Patrick Mahomes.

Despite spending a lot of time together at Chiefs events, the two couldn’t be more different politically. When Donald Trump learned about Brittany Mahomes endorsing him for the US presidency, he aimed at Taylor.

Trump remarked, “If you want the truth, Mrs. Mahomes actually likes it much better [than Swift], and I am not a Taylor Swift fan.”

Trump went on, calling her a “very liberal person” and saying she couldn’t, and you couldn’t, possibly support Biden.

Donald Trump mocks Taylor Swift after the Super Bowl booing incident.

Trump tweeted on TruthSocial, “I HATE TAYLOR. SWIFT!” when Swift later backed Kamala Harris.

The timeline of Trump’s attacks on Swift continues getting longer. It happened once more on Super Bowl Sunday, and Trump was very nasty.

The audience enthusiastically applauded the president. The president was visible on screen during the national anthem. The sight of Taylor Swift’s face startled the star as fans booed her.

Shortly afterward, Trump decided to take advantage of the opportunity. He tweeted a video of the crowd booing Swift and another of him receiving praise in a separate post during the game. Following the Super Bowl, he went to Truth Social and credited his “Make America Great Again” supporters for Taylor Swift’s boos.

Taylor Swift was the only one who endured a difficult evening. She had a more difficult evening than the Kansas City Chiefs. She emerged from the stadium BOOED. MAGA is quite merciless! Trump wrote.
