Donald Trump said he would “bomb Moscow,” and Russia responded

Donald Trump’s view on Russia has changed. At first, it seemed like he was being nice to Russian President Vladimir Putin, but a leaked audio clip that CNN got says otherwise. Trump is claimed to have told Putin that he would nuke Moscow if he didn’t do what he wanted. Now, Russia has responded to the claim.

The US and Russia have an extremely complicated relationship. Three years ago, Russia invaded Ukraine, and it transformed the world and the way Russia interacts with numerous countries, including the US.

Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin used to get along well. Before he became president in January, he boasted he would settle the Ukraine-Russia war in 24 hours. That didn’t happen, but Trump did talk to the president of Russia on the phone multiple times.

Trump stated at the time, “I think he wants peace,” about Putin. “I mean, I know him very well.” Yes, I believe he wants peace. I believe he would tell me if he didn’t. I believe him on this.

But things are very different now. Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that Putin was “throwing a lot of bullsh*t at the US” because he didn’t want to make a peace deal with Ukraine.

During a meeting of the Cabinet, Donald Trump said, “I’m not happy with Putin.” “I’m not happy with them at all.”

Donald Trump said he would “bomb Moscow.”

Donald Trump hasn’t been too hard on Putin in the news, but it looks like he had different plans last year. CNN said on Tuesday that they had gotten recordings from Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, in which he assured funders that he would “bomb the sh*t out of Moscow” if Putin attacked Ukraine.

I told Putin, “If you go into Ukraine, I’m going to bomb the hell out of Moscow.” Trump remarked during a 2024 fundraiser, “I’m telling you I have no choice,” according to CNN. “And then [Putin] says, ‘I don’t believe you.’ But he believed me 10%.”

Later, Donald Trump said he had warned Chinese President Xi Jinping about a possible invasion of Taiwan in a similar way. That time, it was considering bombing Beijing.

Trump said Xi “thought I was crazy,” but “we never had a problem.”

Josh Dawsey, Tyler Pager, and Isaac Arnsdorf also got the audio records. They wrote about portions of the conversations in their book, 2024.

Donald Trump and his team have not said anything about the audio tapes that CNN got. The news outlet said the tape was from 2024, but it’s still not clear when or when the supposed conversation between Trump and Putin took occurred.

Russia answers

It didn’t take long for the Kremlin to reply to what Donald Trump said on the tape. Newsweek said on Wednesday that Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s spokesman, did neither confirm or deny that Trump had warned Putin about Ukraine. They got this information from the Russian state news agency TASS.

He also added that the two had not talked over the phone when Trump was not President of the United States.

Peskov added, “The truth is that there were no phone calls at that time.” “From what I understand, we’re talking about the time before Trump became president of the United States.”

We don’t know if this is real or not. There are a lot of bogus things these days. There are often a lot more false information than real information. Peskov said, “And this is always how we start when we look at certain news.”
